We went a few years back and I cant wait to go back! Hopefully for a wild cave tour this next time! The guy that owns/runs the place is knowledgeable and fun to chat with! He really made the experience less corporate and more of an adventure!

Never made it to the cave, arrived approximately an hour after they were suppose to be open. Walked around to find clothes hanging up, old food/food/pots and pans laying around the shop outside, all the equipment was out in the rain, closed sign with the lights off.

Called the owner(s) and they apologized and said someone would be on site in a few minutes. After 20 minutes, a worker came downstairs and opened the shop. We went inside only to hear him still trying to get ready, he was living upstairs of the shop and was still asleep with another woman yelling at him asking if he's going to get out of bed. After 45 minutes of waiting, he never acknowledged we were even there, waiting by ourselves. Another worker drove up on an ATV, once again never acknowledged us. So we left, only person to even speak to us was another customer that wanted her flashlights back from the day before. Highly unprofessional. Unorganized. Very disappointed in the staff.

AWESOME! My friend Kristy and I took both wild cave tours and these caves are the most beautiful and interactive in all the midwest. I highly recommend the wild cave tours to all spelunkers who are ready to take it to the next level. The East cave tour is more muddy, and the North cave tour is not for the faint of heart. When you finish, you can jump in the waterfall to rinse off the clay: AWESOME! The owner Roby was kind and entertained us with magic tricks. The tour guide Dustin bolstered our confidence by advising us where to get handholds and footholds: we felt extremely capable by the end. By far the best caves I've ever gone through and I'm proud to have completed these physically rigorous adventures of my own accord. :) Come experience the best caves in the midwest!

Always closed every time we pass by it, is the place out of business?

Cave has new owners and is closed for restoration. Owners have upgraded all the lighting in the cave and are rebuilding the walkway, bridge and stairs. Will be reopened when repairs are done and a safe, enjoyable recreation experience can be had by all visitors.
